Dvoretsky's theorem is a Ramsey-type statement that says that any finite dimensional Banach space contains "nearly Euclidean" slices of relatively high dimension. I'll outline Milman's proof of Dvoretsky's theorem via concentration of measure for Euclidean spheres. The focus will be on how concentration of measure plays into the proof.
