In this talk, we will classify the finite index subgroups of R. Thompson's group F. Specific functions will be given that generate finite index subgroups of F that are isomorphic to F. The finite index subgroups of F that are not isomorphic to F will be characterized using the structure of finite index subgroups of Z x Z.
