MATH 612: Complex Anlaysis (Spring 2007)

Instructor: Reyer Sjamaar

Meeting Time & Room

The preliminary plan is to cover chapters 10–16 of Rudin, which form a solid introduction to functions in one complex variable. In addition we will look into Riemann surfaces (the natural geometric setting for complex function theory) and possibly some function theory of several complex variables, which is very different from the one-variable theory. Depending on how far we got in 611, we may also make another excursion into the world of distributions (generalized functions).
