My entry in the university's database
The math department's page for me
I just finished my Ph.D. in mathematics at Cornell University. This fall, I will be a postdoctoral fellow in the mathematics department at the University of Missouri. Thanks to Graham Evans, my
undergraduate mentor, I am particularly interested in commutative algebra. At Cornell,
I worked with Mike
Stillman, and I am currently studying Hilbert functions and the
minimal graded free resolutions associated to them. I frequently use
the computer algebra system Macaulay 2, written by Dan Grayson and Mike Stillman.
You can see some of my professional information here:
In 1999, I graduated with degrees in mathematics and economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I was in the Campus Honors Program. I am originally from Lawrence, Kansas, and I graduated from Lawrence High School in 1995.
In the summer of 2001, I married Cynthia Bowers Francisco. She is an instructor of mathematics at Ithaca College.
Here are some of my nonmathematical interests.
