Title: The Optimal Dissection of Simplces
Abstract: How can you "optimally" dissect simplices, so that their diameters shrink at the fastest rate? Here, an n-simplex is dissected by choosing any point of the simplex; it then splits into from 1 to n+1 simplices, its children, with each the convex hull of the new point and n of the vertices of its parent. In 1 dimension, bisection is optimal. We will give bounds and near optimal schemes for general n.
