TEXT: Thomas' Calculus by Thomas, Finney, and Weir, 9th Alternate Edition is the text for the course.
Note that the 10th and the alternate edition are not compatible. Nevertheless, you do not lose anything if you check Thomas' calculus web site about the 10th edition, where you can Visualize Calculus or take online Skill Mastery Quizzes.

Grading: There will be three prelims, each worth 100 points, and a final worth 200 points. Together homework and quizzes will count for another 100 points. Class attendance is not part of your grade, but in some sense it counts for you, but not against you. Attending classes and doing your homework are the two major factors that will help you learn the subject.

Syllabus & Homework Assignments: The following are the reading and homework assignments for the course. There are a few problems in which you might have to use calculators, but in general calculators are not allowed in classes/examinations.
The date in the first column below is when the section is covered in lecture and the date in the last column is when your homework assignments for a given subject are due. Note that they are due in recitation on Friday. No late homework will be accepted. If you cannot attend Friday's recitation, you must hand in your homework before the date it is due. You should write up your homework sets by yourself; copying solutions from each other violates Cornell's Code of Academic Integrity and is strictly prohibited.
You do not have to hand in the problems in parentheses '()'.
