Difference modules and Hilbert schemes
There is a rich story relating the geometry of Hilbert schemes and
their deformations with the module theory of differential operators,
with its roots in work of Wilson and Berest-Wilson. I'll explain a
few features of an analogous story for q-difference operators and
discuss some still-mysterious aspects of the differential geometry of
the Hilbert schemes in question.
