Speaking on

Calculus Reform At Cornell:

Why Reform?

Some sections of math 112 will be offered next semester with a new format which
emphasizes:

--- Fewer Topics Each Covered In Greater Depth

--- In-Class Activities and Several "Projects"

--- Cooperative Learning In Student Groups

Inspiration for these innovations come from similarly oriented calculus reform efforts at the University of New Mexico; Ithaca College; other universities; and comments and suggestions from student evaluations of the "standard" math 112 calculus course.

Come hear about these happenings and share your thoughts and ideas.
