Course description: | In this course we will study stochastic processes on irregular state spaces such as fractals, Laakso spaces, and other spaces defined as projective limits of metric graphs. The primary tools we will be using to study these processes are the associated Dirichlet forms, so much attention will be given to the correspondence between Dirichlet forms and processes and to the construction of Dirichlet forms on non-smooth spaces using generalized upper gradients. If time permits, we may also discuss uniqueness results on Laakso spaces. | ||
