The 10% for HW and quiz will be 5% HW, 5% quiz.
The raw score for quizzes is on bcourse and the raw score for homeworks is on gradescope. You get full point for HWs as long as the grade is >50% on Gradescope.
Each quiz is worth 4 points (after the 1st one). For the first quiz 8/28, you will get full points if you got at least 2/3. After that, the higher grade between Quiz 2 and 3, 4 and 5, 6 and 7, 8 and 9, 10 and 11, 12 and 13 will be kept, so you can choose to do quizzes only biweekly if you prefer.
I will drop the lowest HW grade and the lowest quiz grade (after taking the biweekly-max).
Homeworks are due Monday before section on Gradescope. Either PDF or images, and either written or typed, is accepted. You are welcome to discuss, but you must write your solutions yourself. Show your work and partial solutions.
You have 4 late "day"s, i.e. 4 chances to submit it within 28 hours after the deadline, without having to ask me. There will be a 20 percent penalty for unexcused late submissions besides the 4 late days. If you need further extensions, or if you are having trouble with the material, please let me know.
For HW2, 9/7 is Labor Day, so it is due Wed 9/9 morning.
Weekly quizzes can be found in bcourse under the Quiz tab. They are open Friday 12pm (noon) - Saturday 12pm (noon) Berkeley time. Currently the time limit is 10 minutes and you have 3 attempts.
Quiz days: Friday 8/28, 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20.
