Advice
The biggest piece of advice we can give you is to READ YOUR TEXT! Don't just view it as
a
source for exercises, but use it. If you read your textbook before class,
you will get much more out of each lecture. This twenty minute investment
is well worth your time.
Thoughts
You have enrolled in an honors
course. What does that
mean? Well, to quote a friend of ours, "enrolling in an honors course is
like asking for jalapeno peppers in your burrito." That is, we'll try to
give you enough peppers to make your eyes water, but not so many that you
feel like you're about to die. In particular this means that the homework
will be demanding, we will go FAST, and we won't repeat everything in the
book (so read it!). If this is too much for you, there is no harm in
taking 112 instead. However, talk to us before you make this decision.
