Title: On the Supports of Vexillary Grothendieck Polynomials
Time: 2:30 PM, Monday, September 25, 2023
Place: Malott 206
Abstract: First introduced by Lascoux and Schützenberger in 1982,
Grothendieck polynomials are a family of polynomials indexed by
permutations in $S_n$. For Grothendieck polynomials associated to
vexillary ($2143$-avoiding) permutations, we show that their supports
have several nice properties, addressing special cases of conjectures
due to Mészáros, Setiabrata, and St. Dizier; Mészáros and St. Dizier;
and Huh, Matherne, Mészáros and St. Dizier. In particular, we show
that the supports of homogenized Grothendieck polynomials for
vexillary permutations are M-convex (i.e. the support is the set of
integer points of a generalized permutahedron). Parts of this talk
are based on joint work with Mészáros, Setiabrata, and St. Dizier.
