Math 612 — Complex Analysis

Spring 2003

Instructor: John Hubbard

Time: MW 8:40-9:55

Room: MT 205

This course will cover the standard topics in complex analysis:

  • Cauchy integral formula,
  • calculus of residues,
  • conformal mapping,
  • introduction to elliptic functions,
  • the prime number theorem and Dirichlet's theorem on primes in an arithmetic progression.

If time allows, we will continue with an introduction to Riemann surfaces.
