MATH 7150: Fourier Analysis (Fall 2012)

Instructor: Camil Muscalu

Textbook: We will mostly rely on Vol.1 of the recent book Classical and Multilinear Harmonic Analysis by C. Muscalu and W. Schlag, to appear at Cambridge University Press.

The class is an introduction to Euclidean harmonic analysis. Topics usually include Fourier series, harmonic functions and their conjugates, Hilbert transform, Calderon-Zygmund theory, Littlewood-Paley theory, restriction theory of the Fourier transform, etc. If time permits, applications to PDE and number theory will also be discussed.
