Welcome New
Faculty and Graduate Students!
Fall Reception: Department faculty, staff and graduate students
are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 4th in the Mathematics Department
lounge (5th floor, Malott Hall) to welcome new faculty and graduate students
and to celebrate the beginning of the new academic year. (Spouses and
companions are welcome.)
New Faculty Officers: Ken
Brown has begun a three-year term as department chair, and Mike
Stillman has stepped into the position of director of graduate studies.
Birget Speh continues in
her role as director of undergraduate studies, and Maria
Terrell continues as director of teaching assistant programs.
