Xiaodong Cao and Tara Holm awarded Simons Fellowships
Associate professors Xiaodong Cao and Tara Holm have been awarded Simons Fellowships in Mathematics by the Simons Foundation. The award provides an opportunity for Xiaodong to spend his 2013 sabbatical pursuing several ongoing projects in the field of Ricci flow. Sacks Prize awarded to Mingzhong Cai
Mingzhong Cai (Ph.D. 2011 under Richard Shore) has won the prestigious Sacks Prize for the best thesis in logic this past year (jointly with Adam Day, currently at UC-Berkeley).
