  • Noether normalization and Hilbert's nullstellensatz
  • integral dependence, going up/down, integral closure
  • Primary decomposition in Noetherian rings
  • Discrete valutation rings
  • Hilbert functions and dimension theory
  • Tor and Ext, flatness
  • (Time permitting) Cohen-Macaulay rings, depth, regular sequences
