MATH 6180: Smooth Ergodic Theory (Spring 2011)

This course starts with an introduction to general ergodic theory, followed by entropy theory and some applications. Topics include ergodicity, mixing, recurrence, the subadditive ergodic theorem, Lyapunov exponents, entropy, dimension and ergodic theory on homogeneous spaces. Possible applications that may be included are to number theory, smooth dynamics or Schrodinger operators.
