MATH 6320: Algebra (Spring 2011)

Instructor: Shankar Sen

MATH 6320 covers Galois theory, representation theory of finite groups, introduction to homological algebra. Familiarity with the material of a standard undergraduate course in abstract algebra will be assumed. (MATH 6310 is not strictly a prerequisite, though it may help to have taken it.)

Note that most subjects will not be covered in depth, as the idea is to present a broad view with a glimpse of many topics.
