If $M$ is a manifold with a foliation $F$, how should you think about the space parametrizing the leaves of $F$? This sort of question could come up if you’re interested in symplectic geometry or non-commutative geometry, say.
I’ll talk about some ways to think of these leaf spaces. I’ll describe an approach that lets you solve a problem from symplectic geometry. In the end we will kick (or gently nudge) triangles.
Refreshments will be served in the lounge at 4:00 PM.
