Equivariant, motivic, and classical algebraic topology

Basic objects from classical topology (e.g. spheres, intervals, vector bundles, classifying spaces) often have interesting additional structure, such as symmetry or algebraic structure. I will discuss how these basic examples naturally lead to the subjects of equivariant and motivic homotopy theory. If time permits, I will discuss K-theory and the connections between its topological, equivariant, and algebraic variants.
