Construction schemes and minimal walks via $C$-sequences, both due to Todorcevic, are powerful tools for building ZFC combinatorial structures on $\omega_1$ from coherent systems of subsets. A natural question that arises is whether one can also construct one from the other. In this talk, we construct a $C$-sequence from a construction scheme. Future work will explore how one might build a construction scheme from a $C$-sequence.
