Abstract: How do you, as an instructor or TA, decide what to make your students do during class? In this discussion-based seminar, we’ll analyze a selection of worksheets and lessons from a few active learning calculus courses, and ask such questions as: What activities are paired with what kinds of questions, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of making such decisions? What should you, as the instructor or TA, be doing during the lesson in order to best complement the chosen activity? And more!
