Uses of Blackboard
Blackboard eases the use of managing and maintaining a course. Further, it comes with a series of tools that will bring synergy to the student-faculty relationship and will strengthen the education provided in the class. Also, everything is done through a browser and so students and faculty can access the site from virtually anywhere. Blackboard can:
- Allow students to see how they are doing in the class at their convenience.
- Give online quizzes as grades or just to prepare the student for upcoming exams.
- Upload class notes for students that were not able to make it to class.
- Upload extra content that was not covered in class but may interest the student.
- Give online quizzes and tutorials to aid students.
- Have discussion boards that allow students to ask questions and TA's, faculty, and other students to answer them.
- Remind students of deadlines and due assignments.
